Holly "Hollyberry" Cunningham, founder of Hollyberry Baking Company, began baking when she was just 5 years old (with her "Holly Hobbie" oven of course!). By age 7, she had compiled her own book of family recipes, and as a young woman starting her own baking business, she even paid her rent in cookies! Today, she has turned her passion for baking into one of St. Louis’ tastiest businesses.
Hollyberry Baking Co. was founded in 1998, primarily providing made-from-scratch baked goods for corporate gifts. In June 2001, Hollyberry Baking Co. launched a catering division to offer corporate clients a delicious alternative for catered lunches, meetings and events. Today, Hollyberry serves thousands of catered meals and delivers delectable baked gifts throughout the country, and has recently launched her new “Small Plates” menu for Corporate or Social Event Catering.
Holly Cunningham was the 2002 SBA Small Business Association Young Entrepreneur of the Year and was also a finalist for the 2002 Entrepreneur of the Year awards. In 2002, she was chosen as one of the St. Louis Business Journal’s prestigious “30 under 30.” Her Lemon Heaven, Cocoa Bliss and Oatmeal Crannie Cookies were voted “Best Cookies” by St. Louis Magazine in 2005, and her box lunch earned “Best Box Lunch” honors from Alive Magazine in 2007. Holly’s tastiest creation, though, must be her signature Gooey Butter Cake, a decadent local favorite that is now shipped daily around the country.
Holly Cunningham not only has a passion for baking craveable cuisine, she is also the creative leader behind one of St. Louis’ most exciting woman-owned small businesses. She is also the mother of 5 year old identical twin girls who are happy to serve as her personal sweet samplers.
